With only 115,416 of the XJS cars built during its long production run of 1975-1996, it's a rare sight on the road.
To make it even more exceptional, the Jaguar aluminum V12 was one of the first available, sharing the 12-cylinder spotlight with only Lamborghini and Ferrari.
In 1992, the V12 engine's capacity was enlarged to a 6.
0 Litre, boasting a power output of 313 HP.
To smoothly handle all that power, the transmission was updated to a GM 4L80E with a 4th gear overdrive.
And to make the ride even smoother, the design included more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers.
The instrument pack was the beneficiary of the main interior change, with the drum-type ancillary gauges replaced by a more conventional binnacle style.
