System Administrator Desktop Support

The ideal candidate will possess desktop support experience and basic server administration experience. The individual will interface with end users to independently perform software and hardware troubleshooting and repair on primarily Windows based systems. This position will also include printer maintenance, network connectivity troubleshooting, and support for remote workers.


Job Duties
Interface with end users to independently resolve problems concerning system function
Manage escalated Tier 2 support tickets and follow proper escalation path
Coordinate, oversee, and implement workstation deployment
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to PC hardware and software
Administration of Active Directory, Backup/Recovery Services, Anti-Virus environment, WSUS
Interface with Server and Network engineering teams
Participate with project teams to implement or troubleshoot defined technical activities
Establish and build client relationships
Occasional night and weekend work will be required.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong background in Windows Operating systems and Office suite
Experience with Help Desk ticket and management systems
Computer imaging and configuration
Understanding of backup technologies
Strong experience removing computer viruses
Understanding of wireless technologies
Understanding of mobile devices, SPAM-filtering, and VPN fundamentals
Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
2+ years of technical support experience
Current Microsoft certification a plus
Current A+ / Network+ certification a plus
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT related field a plus

Ability and willingness to learn quickly new skills
Excellent organizational and follow up skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
