(OCI) is an established Commercial General Contractor with a solid reputation.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Construction Field Superintendent to join our team.
The successful candidate must be:
Quality oriented and well-organized.
Well-versed in all construction methodologies.
Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Competent in coordinating day-to-day operations on the job site, including scheduling and supervising all subcontractors on the jobsite.
Experienced in ensuring that work is completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
Able to effectively interact with people in all levels of the industry.
Have computer knowledge - including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Willing to travel and supervise out of state jobsites as necessary.
OSHA 30 Certified (Mandatory).
O'Brien Construction (OCI) will offer OSHA 30 Classes for Certification.
Specific Job
Responsibilities:
Create, file, and distribute Daily Field Reports, daily photos, Two-Week Look Ahead Schedules, Tool Box Safety Talks, & SWPPP Reporting (If applicable).
Review prints, Scopes of Work (Exhibit A), paperwork, contracts, and job schedule with Project Manager & Estimator before start of job.
Confirm subcontractors have correct and up-to-date prints, specifications, and Addenda before starting work.
Schedule and conduct Pre-Construction Meetings.
Confirm site contractor has contacted O.

and all other required entities that need project notification.
Ensure timely completion of project by coordinating with Project Manager and scheduling of subcontractors and suppliers.
Verify that all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications and contracts.
Review all layouts by subcontractors.
Ensure that correct materials are used by subcontractors in accordance with plans and specifications.
Verify receipt of all materials delivered and match to packing slip, order list, and plans and specs.
Ensure that adequate manpower and equipment is on site to unload materials.
Schedule rental equipment needed for delivery and pick-up.
Verify that all dumpsters, Porta Potties, trailers and other rented equipment are returned at project completion.
Contact utility companies to schedule work and installations.
Monitor job site and subcontractors to maintain a safe and clean job site on a daily basis.
Ensure that all trades are in compliance with safety and OSHA guidelines.
Conduct safety meetings at least weekly.
Ensure security on job site to protect OCI, subcontractors, and client assets.
Coordinate all Change Orders with project manager.
Call for inspections and maintain an Inspection Log.
Maintain Red Lines As-Built Drawings as job progresses and turn over to Project Manager at completion.
Complete Punch List items.
Apply for Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
