Growth opportunities Company perks On-the-job training Teamwork and comradery We are looking for a talented individual that will provide hands-on/in-the-field support for renovations and correcting issues in residential or commercial properties, in both vacant and/or occupied buildings.
This person must be able to implement best practices to minimize the use of resources (time, hardware, money, etc.
) and increase the quality of results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Home renovation construction including general carpentry, cabinet installation, tile installation, drywall and painting, plumbing and electrical.
Evaluating, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building/residence.
Receiving and responding to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Works with other employees or contracted personnel to complete building improvements.
Perform other work as assigned by Dwelling Network including but not limited to minor landscaping, grounds upkeep, demolition/haul away and general labor.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING A minimum of 3 years of experience in home construction.
Prefer at least two years of experience in two or more of the following areas:
HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, drywall, painting, or plumbing.
Must have a valid State of Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation for hauling equipment and own tools to and from job sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to comprehend blueprint details, scope of work and specifications.
Ability to find creative solutions to problems and attack situations with a Can-Do attitude.
Ability to plan daily and weekly work schedules to complete home renovations and repairs on-time.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
The ability to communicate both in written and verbal form.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Walking while reviewing facilities, including going up and down stairs.
Climbing a ladder or scaffolding to evaluate high places, facility roofs and ceilings.
Driving a vehicle.
Extensions such as reaching, pulling, and pushing; gripping, twisting and turning objects; open/closing drawers and doors; retrieving items at lower levels; looking underneath equipment.
Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS Must have good safety awareness and judgment.
Possess the ability to read, write and organize materials.
Must be able to work independently and make decisions on how best to resolve issues.
Must be able to work and relate to other people in a professional manner.
Ability to understand basic computer programs.
Ability to perceive, assess and remedy problems.
