Position Summary The Sr Manager of Risk Management is responsible for leading a team of professionals managing technical and operational Insurance activities in North America. The Sr Manager of Risk Management also supports the Sr Director of Investments / Risk Management in developing and delivering the insurance / risk financing strategy for North America including the US-based captive Red Maple Insurance Company (RMIC), financial planning / budgeting / forecasting, actuarial analysis, co-ordination of the loss prevention programs, liaison with Group Risk Services (GRS) at Centre and account planning / management of key insurer / broker relationships. The Sr Manager of Risk Management manages a team of 5 professionals to support the technical and operational insurance activities and claims management for workers compensation and other property & casualty insured claims. Commercial general/products/auto liability:
design and negotiate optimal insurance management structures utilizing commercial insurers and Nestle's own captive insurance company. Property/business interruption:
design and negotiate optimal program design for protecting the company from property/BI losses. Manage risk engineering program. Cyber, Marine Cargo/Transit, Professional liability:
design and negotiate optimal program for the company's exposures to these risks. Transactional risk:
facilitate Reps and Warranties and other transactional coverage (as needed) for the company's acquisitions/divestitures and other transactions. Surety:
design and negotiate the optimal surety program Captive insurance:
Support the management of the captive insurance company activities Budget, actuarial and allocation:
support budget development, coordinate with outside 3rd party actuary, manage invoicing/premium calculations, wire transfer transactions and collection of underwriting data. Claims management:
Manage team of claims professionals and the company's third-party claims administrator. Assist all N.A. operating companies for any insured claims. Contractual review:
Assist legal/operational contacts with insurance language for contracts. Liaise with the parent company's risk management team in Switzerland on global programs and insurance structure. Mergers/acquisitions/divestment resource:
Serve as main point of contact for risk management/insurance related due diligence Key Experiences:
Minimum 10 years of corporate Risk Management, Insurance Broker experience or similar. Managing a team of professionals to deliver results A solid understanding of Captive Insurance programs A solid understanding of the structures of multinational controlled master insurance programs. Knowledge of claims-made insurance exposures and structures Solid experience in analyzing Mergers/Acquisitions/Divestitures 10
years' experience managing insurance contracts Excellent communication, presentation skills Bachelor's degree required, MBA or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or similar preferred 10
years of Analytical skills in a Finance, Risk Management, or banking environment a plus Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and a self-starter Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment. Some travel is necessary.
